Hyundai Elantra / Avante X20 - 110,000KM Service

It is time for my Elantra X20 110k km service and its been done today at KBPJ Service Centre. Light traveling since last service.

Odometer: 109700 km
1. Replace Oil Pan Plug Washer

2. Replace Oil Filter
3. Replace Engine oil - Castrol SLX 0W30 (Fully Synthetic oil)

Also, I changed spark plug and tried Denso IK20 for the first time.

Last but not least, wheel balancing and alignment check.

Done and am quite satisfied with the result

Hyundai Elantra / Avante X20 - Warranty Period.

There goes warranty period for my X20 (3years or 100,000km whichever is earlier)..

My X20 last service under warranty and its been done today at KBPJ Service Centre. Been traveling long distance last couple of weeks and get it serviced before I went on another trip next week.

Odometer: 99901 km
1. Replace Oil Pan Plug Washer
2. Replace Oil Filter
3. Replace Engine oil - Castrol SLX 0W30 (Fully Synthetic oil)
4. Replace Auto Transmission Fluid - Castrol
5. Replace Radiator Coolant
6. Replace Front Brake Pad
7. To check undercarriage sound

4 litre Auto Transmission Fluid

Other than that, I have also sent it for wheel balancing, rotate and alignment check.

MyVi SE 1.3A - 4th Service.

My MyVi due for its 12th month service.

12th Month/20000km (4th Service)
Odometer: 12642km
Service Date: 10.11.2010
Service Centre: Perodua Sales S/B, Jalan Lapangan Terbang Subang.

Things done today:
1. Replace Engine oil - Semi Syn. 5W30
2. Replace gasket
3. Replace Oil filter
4. Top-up windshield washer
5. Replace air-cond cabin filter

I was informed that it is suppose to be major service but looking at the current mileage, I will do that on the next service.

Other than that, I have requested them to check on the followings: -
1. Brake condition
2. Front RH window vibrating (rectified earlier, just to check and tighten the screws)
3. Rear absorber nut loosen (Rectified earlier, just to ensure that it is in good condition)

Next service will be on May 2011

Hyundai Elantra / Avante X20 - Absorber Change

My search is finally over.

I wish to improve my X20 suspensions (which to me is quite soft) but with tight budget and difficult to get aftermarket parts does keep me wondering for a while...

After seeking an advise from local Hyundai rep, I have an option for a better OEM parts, which is an equivalent to the stock absorber but with higher damping rate, a perfect replacement to my stock absorber.

Have it install today and can immediately feel the impact.. it goes well with my Eibach springs as well..

Hyundai Elantra / Avante X20 - Wheel Change

Aidil Fitri (Eid ul- fitr) is coming in a week and it is time to sent my car for inspection and checking before I went back to my home town for the celebration.

Basically the car is in good condition, just complete its 90K KM service recently and it is about time for me to check the wheel alignment and balancing.

Then I found out that 2 of my front wheel bent! Maybe Raya mood does struck my ride too.. I've just change the tyre during my last visit and now..


So I decide to negotiate and see what would be the best deal if I decide to trade the wheel to the new set (what the heck its Hari Raya anyway)..

Its an imitation Pro N1 Black Racing wheel and it does looks good with my ride.

Sent my X20 due for 90K km service recently and here is the things being done at KBPJ Service Centre.

Odometer: 90138 km
1. Replace Oil Pan Plug Washer
2. Replace Oil Filter
3. Replace Engine oil - Castrol SLX 0W30 (Fully Synthetic oil)
4. Replace Brake Fluid - Castrol Brake Fluid Dot 4
5. Suspension Noise check

They have tighten 1 bolt for lower arm which found loose during the suspension check. Other than that.. no comments so far.

Absorber? still thinking and looking for it. Not decided yet...
